Welcome!
Hello! I’m Nishamani Dinitikara, also known as Nish DMs. As an artist deeply passionate about my craft, I invite you to join me on a journey through my creative process. Together, we’ll explore my unique style and the inspirations that bring each piece to life. My mission is to create art that fills your home with serenity and inspiration.
My artistic journey began in childhood, where I often expressed my creativity by drawing on the walls of my home. Over the years, I have participated in numerous events and exhibitions, including designing book covers and bookmarks for children's literature. I believe that true talent transcends formal education and certifications; it flourishes through relentless practice and dedication.

Beyond the canvas: My vision
More than just selling art, Shadows Art Studio aims for my paintings to resonate deeply with people. I hope creations linger in your memory, offering a sense of peace, meditative thoughts, and positive vibes. My goal is to create art that truly connects with and enriches your life.
My achievements
I take great pride in sharing my educational background and the prestigious awards I have received throughout my journey. My qualifications include a scholarship for a degree in art from Heywood University in Sri Lanka, as well as a diploma in art from the Sri Lanka Art Gallery in Colombo 7, where I had the privilege of learning from some of the most talented artists in the country.
Among my notable achievements is winning a Bronze Medal at the 1998 Olympics in the Female Young Artist category, securing 3rd place in Nagano, Japan. This accolade reflects the diverse range of accomplishments that have shaped my artistic career.
My achievements, including certificates, medals, and trophies, serve as a testament to the quality and dedication that infuse every piece of my artwork. I have honed my skills in wood carving and regiform, and I was an active member of the Moscow Art Student Union while pursuing my bachelor's degree at Moscow State University (MGY) in Russia.
Additionally, I have been a member of the Sri Lanka Art Gallery in Colombo 7 since 2000. During my time at Keele University, where I completed my Master’s degree, I actively participated in the Student Art Club in 2010. Currently, I am an engaged member of the Staffordshire Artists Society in the United Kingdom, a role I have held since 2021. My commitment to the art community also includes volunteering and facilitating art therapy, reflecting my holistic approach to art and its impact on society.
